John Kennedy
John Kennedy specializes in personal injury litigation. Mr. Kennedy attended Seton Hall University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, with Honors, in 1986. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1989.
Before joining Smith & Williams, Mr. Kennedy was representing injured clients in various Counties throughout New Jersey and trying cases to jury verdicts.
Mr. Kennedy first experience in personal injury litigation was representing defendants. In the first 20 or so years of his career he worked for several insurance carriers and ultimately assumed the role of managing attorney for the central New Jersey office of one of the major automobile insurers in New Jersey. In that position he managed more than seventeen trial lawyers, before his professional focus became helping his injured clients.
Mr. Kennedy also served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps both on Active and Reserve Duty. He practiced criminal law in the Marine Corps at both trial and appellate levels. He retired in 2007 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
John Kennedy specializes in personal injury litigation, and he has more than 30 years of experience in the area. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, as a civil trial attorney and has been since 2005. He fights for the rights of his injured clients.
He lives in Somerville with his wife and their four children.
